How to Use AITOMO: Pricing, Points, and Your First Voice Chat
AITOMO is an iOS and Android app for voice and text conversations with AI characters. You can choose VOICEVOX characters such as Zundamon, Shikoku Metan, and Kasukabe Tsumugi, or create an original character.
This guide reflects AITOMO's official FAQ and pricing information as checked by the operating team on August 16, 2026.
How AITOMO pricing works
AITOMO is free to start, but that does not mean every feature is free and unlimited.
- New accounts receive 300 points
- You can earn more through ads, daily bonuses, daily gacha, and other activities
- A VOICEVOX voice message generally costs 10pt
- An UltraVoice message generally costs 15pt
- Image generation generally costs 20–150pt, depending on the request
- Premium Plus costs ¥1,280 per month, tax included
Premium Plus includes no ads, increased point rewards, premium models, a VIP daily bonus, and UltraVoice benefits. Check the in-app purchase screen before subscribing because prices and benefits may change.
1. Install the app
An internet connection is required for AI responses and real-time voice processing. An anonymous account is created on first launch; you can later link it to Google or Apple.
2. Choose a character and voice
The official FAQ lists 10+ official VOICEVOX characters, including Zundamon, Shikoku Metan, and Kasukabe Tsumugi. Character counts in older reviews may differ as the roster changes.
To compare characters:
- Preview the voice in the app
- Check the personality and speaking style
- Ask two or three characters the same short question
AITOMO also has a five-step character creation wizard. Choose an existing character when you want to start with a familiar voice, or create one when you want to define the name, personality, speech style, and background.
3. Choose a conversation mode

For a first chat, try a short prompt such as “Tell me about yourself in character” or “Can I tell you what happened today?”
4. Start a voice conversation
Allow microphone access and speak. The character will answer by voice. Speech recognition can mishear words, and AI responses can be inconsistent. We therefore do not claim that every reply is human-like or that a character will never disagree with you.
If a message is misunderstood:
- Use one short sentence
- Rephrase names and specialist terms
- Move to a quieter location
- State the format you want, such as “Answer briefly”
Conversation history is stored with your account and can be reviewed later. The FAQ separately states that chat audio is deleted after seven days, while chat images and AI-generated images are deleted after 30 days.
